Hebridean Island Hopping Adventure

Design your own Island Hopping Adventure to the Outer Hebrides - our most remote and westerly island destination. It's a magical trip to Scotland's Atlantic edge, rich in heritage and a warm island welcome is guaranteed.

We suggest you can travel in either direction, between the following routes. This itinerary can be purchased using our multiple-journey ticket option, where you can purchase a ticket for each leg of the journey in one transaction:

  • Oban - Castlebay (Barra)
  • Barra - Eriskay (South Uist)
  • Berneray - Leverburgh (Harris)
  • Stornoway (Lewis) - Ullapool

Set sail from Oban - the aptly named Gateway to the Isles, bound for beautiful Barra. Barra is famed for its beauty. As you arrive aboard the ferry, you can't miss Kisimul - the castle in the sea. After you've explored Barra in the south, you can travel along this unique set of interconnected, yet diverse islands, right through to Lewis in the north - famed for its 5,000 year old standing stones at Callanish. The route follows the path of The Hebridean Way - through Eriskay - home of the famous Whisky Galore story, South Uist and North Uist with their striking white beaches and wildlife, and Harris, home of the world famous Harris Tweed.
