Key information

  • You cannot reserve a specific sailing on this route. However, we advise you purchase your ticket in advance.
  • Crossing Time: 10 minutes.
  • If you arrive at the port without a reservation we may still be able to carry you. Please proceed to the ticket office. 
  • Departs every 15 minutes during peak hours and every 30 minutes during off peak hours – check timetable for exact sailing times. 
  • Operates all year round. 
  • Connecting bus and taxi services at both ports.

  • Please arrive at least 10 minutes before departure.
  • A member of staff will check you in before boarding.
  • If the size of your vehicle differs from that declared, you may incur an additional fee.
  • We reserve the right to amend your booking appropriately on arrival.

  • Train: Connect with trains to Glasgow at Largs Station, only a 5 minute walk from the port
  • Buses: Catch the frequent McGills Buses service to Glasgow via Greenock/Gourock or the Stagecoach service to Ayr and Irvine, also only a 5 minute walk from the port
  • Taxis: Or pick up a local taxi outside the train station
