Check-in: 10 minutes prior to departure for vehicles and foot passengers. Late check-in may result in your vehicle being refused carriage.

Request sailings: Saturday and Sunday, some sailings only operate if requested by 14:00 on the previous day. Monday to Saturday, 1735 sailing from Tayinloan can depart at 1750 only if requested by 1400 on the previous day. Ticket information: When you pre-purchase a ticket for this route, you'll be purchasing an 'open' ticket, although the system asks you for a chosen departure date, your ticket is valid only for the timetable period for which they were purchased, either winter or summer.
Ticket validity - Turn Up and Go routes incl. 10-journey tickets - When making your purchase for Turn Up and Go routes - specifically single, return and journeys on 10-journey tickets, please keep in mind that these tickets are valid only for the timetable period for which they were purchased, either winter or summer. They cannot be amended and cannot be used outside the timetable period you have bought them in. They are also non-refundable.
Travelling with a bike - If you're travelling as a foot passenger and bringing your bike, please add your bike(s) to your transaction - this applies to foot passengers. This ticket will remain free of charge.
Concessions and blue badge holders - Blue Badge concessions are now available online, meaning they'll be applied to your ticket. This is an alternative to visiting the port office / speaking with staff. Please continue to carry your concession card or equivalent when you travel.
Purchasing tickets online? If you purchase tickets online as a group or for any number of travel companions, the full party must travel on the same sailing. This applies to both legs of your journey. If you are unsure if all members of your group are travelling together, please complete separate transactions online.
Bus connections: The bus stop in Tayinloan village is approximately half a mile from the ferry terminal. A local taxi service is available to transfer between the service bus and the ferry in both directions. This is bookable in advance and payable at the time of travel.
