One of the most iconic vessels in the CalMac fleet, the MV Lord of the Isles – Righ nan Eilan in Gaelic (and affectionately known as LOTI) – has been serving customers across the network since 1989. Based in Mallaig, she teams with the MV Loch Fyne on the route to Armadale during the busy summer season while maintaining her own daily crossings to Lochboisdale in South Uist.

Located to the bow on Deck 4, the Mariners Café offers a truly unique dining experience. Grab a table and watch the landscape change as you enjoy a freshly cooked meal of locally sourced Scottish ingredients – awarded a ‘Taste our Best’ seal of approval from Visit Scotland – while taking in the spectacular views. Pair it with a soft or alcoholic drink from the café to complete your meal in style.
To the stern of Deck 4 you’ll find an oasis of calm known as the Coffee Cabin. A place to enjoy a range of hot drinks, specialty coffees and light snacks surrounded by amazing views – the perfect destination for some ‘me time’ while en route to your destination. The Coffee Cabin onboard the MV Lord of the Isles offers an extended menu that includes a range of locally sourced alcoholic drinks that can be enjoyed during your journey.
To the stern of Deck 4 you’ll find Shop@CalMac, your onboard destination for a range of products to enhance your journey – including exclusive island produce. From traditional treats like sweets and soft drinks to the morning papers and the latest magazines, you can find it all at the shop.
